TIROLER GOLDSCHMIED, the largest jeweler in South Tyrol, presents its fine jewellery brand LA PREZIOSA, designed and crafted in the family-owned workshop near Merano.

Our in-house brand LA PREZIOSA now comprises 17 collections, all of whose jewellery pieces are designed in South Tyrol and handcrafted from recycled gold in the family-owned workshop near Merano. LA PREZIOSA stands for elegant Italian design, the finest craftsmanship, and a contemporary spirit. The collections range from modern and timeless pieces to opulent high jewellery creations, as well as modern interpretations of traditional costume and hunting jewellery. Today, we are delighted to introduce the LA PREZIOSA – Puccinis Rose Collection.

Puccinis Rose Collection – LA PREZIOSA’s Tribute to Art Nouveau, Art and Eternity

With “Puccini’s Rose,” LA PREZIOSA dedicates a poetic jewellery collection to the restored Puccini Theatre in Merano. Inspired by an Art Nouveau peony on the theatre’s ornate ceiling, designer Hannes Gamper translates its elegance into filigree treasures crafted from 18-carat recycled gold, handmade in the South Tyrolean atelier. The collection bridges past and present and embodies the values of permanence, appreciation and art.

The latest creation by Hannes Gamper, designer of the fine jewellery brand LA PREZIOSA, is a poetic declaration of love to the newly restored Puccini Theatre in Merano – a jewel of European Art Nouveau that recently gained international attention through a full-page feature in The New York Times.

During the restoration, Hannes Gamper was particularly captivated by the theatre’s exquisite ceiling. Within its ornamental forms, he discovered a delicate Art Nouveau peony – a symbol of beauty, sensuality and the profound importance of art and culture. This inspiration gave rise to a filigree, floral and expressive jewellery collection: “Puccini’s Rose.”

“I wanted to create a piece of jewelry that combines the elegance of Art Nouveau with the warmth of my hometown, Merano. ‘Puccini’s Rose’ is a symbol of how deeply art can be a place of belonging.”, says Hannes Gamper.

The collection translates the flowing lines of the theatre’s Art Nouveau style into small, sculptural treasures crafted from 18-carat recycled gold – handmade with masterful skill in the family-owned atelier in South Tyrol. Each rose is individually shaped, radiating the elegance of bygone eras while remaining light and contemporary – a jewel suspended between past and present.

Yet “Puccini’s Rose” is more than an aesthetic homage. It stands for appreciation, permanence and connection – values that have always defined LA PREZIOSA’s craftsmanship.

The new collection will be presented for the first time on November 30, 2025, as part of the book launch dedicated to the restoration of the Puccini Theatre. In the historic foyer, visitors will not only immerse themselves in the world of Art Nouveau but also experience the delicate jewellery that emerged from this architectural masterpiece.

With “Puccini’s Rose,” LA PREZIOSA celebrates the power of art – and the beauty of a symbol that transcends time.

Like all our LA PREZIOSA collections, this one is also crafted in our family-owned workshop in South Tyrol. All jewellery pieces in the Jay Collection are made from 18-carat recycled yellow, white, or rose gold.
