The white shirt is one of the hottest classics this season. Whether loose-fitting or tailored: it looks both modern and timeless. In the shows of Balenciaga under Pierpaolo Piccioli and Chanel under Matthieu Blazy, the white shirt – matched with a black skirt – embodies an elegance characterised by minimalism.

Leather proves surprisingly light and summery. Soft textures and bright natural tones take away the material’s heaviness. Whether as a skirt, as shorts or as a jacket: leather looks modern, casual and versatile – especially when combined with cotton or silk.

Primary colours energise the season. Bold blue, bright red and vibrant yellow add refreshing accents and are particularly striking in minimalist looks. If you prefer a more subtle approach, start with your accessories: bags or shoes in primary colours are perfect to liven up your outfit.
