Every season has a trendy color in store. For the fall-winter 2022/23 collection, it’s all about the color pink. Since time immemorial, people have associated this color with friendship, love and compassion – surely one of the reasons why designers around the world are drawn to it in these times. The most famous example of this pink trend: the Valentino’s fall-winter 2022/2023 show in Paris, where almost every single look was in this hue. Pink may be the opposite of an autumnal color – but it’s everywhere.

After several seasons of absence, fall-winter 2022 saw a comeback of the total look in the color black. This successful reboot put the focus back on silhouettes, fabrics, materials and craftsmanship. Wide-leg pants are combined with cozy turtlenecks at Max Mara, cool black leather looks were shown at Celine and perfectly cut hourglass dresses and double-breasted suits in this trend color dominate the Dolce&Gabbana runway. For the perfect total look, combine overknee boots and you’ll be right on trend.

The focus for tailoring this season was on the wardrobe for the working woman – all classic and chic. Like the double-breasted jacket with strong shoulders at Jil Sanders or the XXL blazer at Prada, which gives new meaning to the term “oversized”. It is exactly this loose-fitting oversized blazer – a trend that has been going on for a few seasons now – that was most noticeably shown. If you want to combine a “highlight accessory” with your business look, wear a tie with your suit, just like on the catwalks of Burberry, Louis Vuitton and Gucci.
